Spent $180 on a digital edge finder and it saved my butt on a rush job

I was running a tight tolerance part last Thursday and needed to pick up an edge fast. My old mechanical edge finder kept bouncing around and I was losing my mind. So I grabbed a cheap digital one from Amazon for $180 thinking it would probably suck. Surprisingly it nailed the edge on the first try and I finished the job in half the time. Has anyone else tried those digital edge finders or am I just lucky with this one?

I bought a Haimer knockoff off Amazon for about $150 a couple months ago and holy cow it changed everything. I had a rush job with a .0005 tolerance and my old mechanical edge finder was taking forever trying to get it spot on. That digital one let me touch off once and I was done. I was nervous spending that kind of money but now I wouldn't go back. It paid for itself on that first rush job alone.

$150 for a Haimer knockoff that does .0005? No way, that's insane.
