Serious question, my town's only recycling center just shut down and now everything goes in the trash
Found out on Tuesday that the facility in my county closed because they couldn't afford a $40k repair on the sorting machine. So now I'm watching my neighbors toss cans and cardboard straight into the dumpster like it's 1995. Has anyone here dealt with a city losing its recycling program, and did it ever actually come back?

Our county lost its program back in 2019 over a busted baler, and a few of us just started hauling our stuff to the next town's drop-off every other Saturday. Took about two years, but the county finally got a grant and reopened with a smaller setup.
