My uncle told me to skip the solar lease and just buy the panels outright
He said it five years ago when I was looking at options for my house in Sacramento. I almost signed a 20-year lease because the monthly cost seemed low. Instead, I saved up and bought a small system for $12,000 after the tax credit. Now my electric bill is basically zero and I'm glad I own the gear. Has anyone else gone against the common advice and been happy they did?
