EV rebate guy told me charging at work was free, that was a lie
My state's clean energy rep in Denver said workplace charging would be covered by my office's solar setup, so I skipped installing a home unit. Turns out the only free ports are the two Level 2 spots that are always taken by 8 AM, and the rest charge 38 cents per kWh. I ran the numbers after 3 months and paid $214 more than I would've for home overnight rates. Is public charging infrastructure just a lottery in most cities, or does anyone actually budget for it realistically?
