That one Tuesday where every flue fought back, cleared by Friday
Started last week with a routine clean over in Medford, first house had a bird nest jammed so deep I had to pull the liner apart to get it out. Next job the damper was seized from years of creosote, took me 2 hours with a chisel and a lot of swearing. By Wednesday I was ready to quit, but then Thursday went smooth as butter, three easy cleans, one with a nice old mason who told me stories about sweeping with a bag of rocks. Friday I hit my best week total in ages, 11 flues done, and I remembered why I still love this. Anyone else have a week where the bad days made the good ones feel extra good? Still chasing that feeling from Thursday.
