Had a flue cap come loose on a windy job in Cheyenne last month
I was finishing up a sweep on a two-story colonial, and a big gust hit just as I was putting the cap back. It slipped, fell about twenty feet, and put a nice dent in the homeowner's metal trash can lid. I paid for a new lid on the spot, which was about forty bucks. Now I always wait for a calm moment, even if it means standing on the roof a bit longer. Anyone else have a close call with wind up there?

That "wait for a calm moment" rule is a lifesaver, learned it the hard way too.

Read a study that said our brains literally can't process logic when we're in that angry fight or flight mode. So sending a message in the heat of the moment is just sending raw emotion, not a real point. That's why waiting an hour changes everything.

Totally, it's like your brain needs a full reboot before you can even think straight. Ever notice how the whole argument looks different after you've had a snack or taken a walk?
