Bought a $340 camera scope for flue work, best money I ever spent
I used to do every flue inspection with a flashlight and a mirror, cranking my neck around like an idiot and still missing stuff two bends up. Dropped $340 on a cheap rigid camera scope back in March and the first job I ran it on showed a cracked flue tile in a 1920s house off Grand Ave that I would have sworn was clean. Found three more hidden cracks that month alone. Any of you still doing visual-only inspections, or is everyone on cameras now?
