My nephew called my old Lite-Brite a 'phone with no games' and I just stood there
He was poking the colored pegs into the black paper and asked where the screen was, and I had to explain that the whole point was making the picture yourself. I pulled out the 1967 original I got at a garage sale in Dayton for $3, and honestly it still works fine, though half the pegs are missing. Watching him get bored after 10 minutes made me realize the fun back then was the slowness, not the toy itself. Do kids today still mess with stuff like Spirograph or did tablets just kill all of it?
