Got roasted by a collector for storing my G.I. Joes in a ziploc bag

A while back I was at a toy show in Cincinnati and this older guy saw my loose G.I. Joe figures just tossed in a big ziploc. He told me I was basically ruining them because the plastic can trap moisture and the limbs get bent out of shape. At first I thought he was being dramatic, but I looked it up and he was right. So I started using those small tackle boxes with individual compartments for each figure. I grab them at Walmart for like 3 bucks each and they stack nice on a shelf. Now my 1985 Snake Eyes still has tight joints and no rusty screws. It's way more organized too, I can find who I'm looking for in seconds instead of digging through a bag. Has anyone else had to totally change how they store their old toys just because of one random person's advice?

Man that tackle box idea is solid but heres something nobody brings up - the ziploc bag crowd is actually on to something for short term storage at conventions. If youre hauling figures to a swap meet and back, a bag keeps them from knocking against each other and chipping paint. Tackle boxes are better for long term at home but for transport those bags have their place.
