DAE spend 45 minutes trying to open a plastic produce bag at the checkout
I stood in line at the Kroger on Vine Street last Tuesday and watched a guy fight with one of those thin plastic produce bags for a good two minutes. He kept rubbing his fingers on the bag, trying to get some grip, but it just wouldn't open. By the time he gave up and used his teeth, the cashier had already scanned half his stuff. I timed it from when he grabbed the bag to when he finally got it open: 45 seconds, which felt like forever. I've started licking my fingers before I even reach for the bag, but it still takes me a few tries. Has anyone found a trick that actually works, or is this just part of the checkout experience now?
