Taco truck moved two blocks and jacked their prices 50 cents
The spot on 5th and Main was my go-to. Three tacos for $7.50, no questions. Last month they relocated near the bus depot and suddenly it's $8 even. Same tortillas, same meat, smaller portions. I asked the guy and he just shrugged, said rent doubled. Anyone got a solid taco truck under $8 that didn't get greedy yet?
Rent doubling is real though. I get that you're mad about the 50 cents, and the smaller portions suck, but that truck's gotta pay the bills too. A bus depot spot in most cities costs way more than a random corner. I mean, if they were charging $12 and skimping, yeah, call them greedy. But half a buck? That's like the cheapest price jump in taco history. Most places around here went from $2.50 to $4 per taco in the last two years. Let's be real, you're still getting a deal.
