My whole stance on night shifts flipped after 6 months in a 24/7 call center

I used to think working nights was for people who couldn't handle a real schedule. Then I took a graveyard shift gig in Phoenix to pay off a car loan and lasted 6 months before I had to admit I was wrong. The tipping point was when I realized my daytime coworkers were constantly behind on tickets because they spent half their morning catching up on emails I already answered at 3 AM. My supervisor in the morning said, "You get more done by 6 AM than I do all day," and it hit me that the quiet hours actually fit my focus better. I still hate the sleep schedule part, but I no longer judge people who pick nights on purpose. Anyone else switch sides on a work schedule they swore was a bad idea?
