Question about putting socks on before pants, did I do it backwards my whole life?
I put socks on first after a shower for 20 years, then my roommate in Austin watched me get dressed last Tuesday and asked why I don't do pants first since socks get snagged on the pant leg. Now I can't stop thinking about it, so which one do you all do?
My buddy Dave in Dallas does pants first and swears by it, but his reason is different from your roommate's. He says if you put socks on last, you have to bend over twice instead of once, and after 12 hours on a concrete floor at his warehouse job that second bend is brutal. I tried his way for a week and honestly the snag thing is real, my socks kept catching on the cuff every single time. But here is where his logic falls apart, when you pull pants over bare feet your heel sticks to the fabric and drags the pant leg down with it. So now I do socks, then pants, but I roll the cuffs up first so nothing snags. Best of both worlds and nobody has to bend over twice.
