That friendly neighbor who watched me install almost caused a seam fail
He was just curious, but his questions broke my focus right when I was sealing the edge. I had to go back and redo the adhesive, which added an hour to the job. Keep visitors at a distance during critical steps, folks.

Putting up a 'do not disturb' sign is a solid idea. I read somewhere that distractions during tricky tasks can double the chance of errors. Your brain needs full attention to get the details right. That's why that friendly neighbor's chat led to a redo. I heard a podcast say that even a few seconds of talk can break your focus for minutes. So keeping visitors away during key steps is just good sense.

Lock the door or put up a 'do not disturb' sign during critical steps. I started doing that after a buddy's visit messed up my woodworking project.
