DAE think back to their first major seam mishap?
Back when I started, I had a seam come apart after a few months because the tape failed. These days, the materials are much better, but I still cringe thinking about that callback. What's the biggest lesson you learned from an early mistake?

Picture my face when a whole section of trim just slid off like a sad peel-and-stick tattoo. Lesson learned: some glues are just fancy water.

Remember using the wrong glue on some vinyl trim early on. It stayed put for a week then just peeled off in one gross sheet. I mean, you live and you learn about material compatibility the hard way. Maybe it’s just me but I still double-check every adhesive now.

Ugh that vinyl sheet peeling off sounds like a total nightmare. @phoenixdixon, what glue did you end up switching to after that mess? I had something similar happen with a foam project that turned into a sticky, stringy disaster. That kind of failure makes you never want to just grab whatever tube is closest again. It really is all about testing on a scrap piece first, every single time.
