Showerthought: The quiet scrape of a handsaw brings back memories.

I was tidying my toolbox and pulled out my dad's old handsaw. It made me realize how much we rely on noisy power saws these days. Do you ever miss the simpler pace of hand tool work?

My grandpa's old coping saw still hangs in his garage, and the smell of that room is just pine sap and machine oil.

You mentioned missing the simpler pace of hand tools. But that quiet scrape just means the job takes twice as long to me. I'd rather use a power saw and finish up quickly.

Hey @cooper.kevin, I totally get that! I used to feel the exact same way. But then I tried hand planing a board last weekend and that slow rhythm just felt really good for some reason.
