Rant: The week I had to rebuild a whole porch frame because the lumber yard sent me green pressure-treated wood.
It was supposed to be a simple deck repair in Cincinnati, but every board was so wet it warped overnight after I cut it. I lost two full days and had to eat the cost of the new material myself. Ever have a supplier issue set you back that badly?

Oh man, that's the worst feeling. I got burned like that once on a fence job. What finally worked for me was calling the yard manager directly, not just the counter guy. I laid out the problem, showed them pictures of the warped cuts with time stamps, and calmly asked what they could do. They ended giving me a discount on the replacement lumber, not a full refund, but it helped. Sometimes you gotta push past the front desk to get someone who can actually make a call.

My old boss in Dayton taught me to always check the stamp on pressure treated wood for the moisture rating before loading up.
