Can we talk about the best way to frame a tricky window opening?

I just finished a job in Tacoma where I had to frame a big picture window with a sloped header. I've always built the header on the ground and lifted it into place, but this time I tried assembling it in position with a temporary brace. The in-place method was way faster and more accurate for this one. I saved about two hours because I didn't have to wrestle a heavy, awkward assembly up the ladder. The fit was perfect on the first try, and I could adjust the king studs as I went. Some guys swear by building on the deck for control, but for a single tricky opening, building it right in the wall felt like a game changer. Has anyone else switched up their header method for a specific job and had it pay off?

My buddy in Everett swears by that method for weird angles.

My uncle in Spokane framed a whole garage with a crazy angled roof by himself... he built every header in place like that. Said it was the only way to keep the lines true.
