Serious question, does anyone else think Firefly is overrated as a cancelled show?
I finally watched Firefly about 6 months ago after years of people telling me it was the greatest cancelled show ever. I got through the whole season in a week. And honestly? It was fine. Not bad, but not the masterpiece everyone claims. The fan base acts like Fox killed the next coming of Shakespeare. I think the movie Serenity was actually better than most of the show. Meanwhile shows like Deadwood got cut with way more story left to tell and nobody talks about it as much. I'm not saying Firefly was bad, I'm saying it gets put on a pedestal it doesn't earn. Curious if anyone here agrees or if I'm about to get roasted for this take.
