Hot take: watching canceled cartoons at 1.5x speed fixed my whole rewatch problem
I kept bailing on old shows like Exosquad and Street Sharks about 6 minutes into every episode because the pacing felt so slow. Last week I set the playback to 1.5x on a whim and suddenly the dialogue and action clicked into place. What I figured out is that the animation was built for kids with short attention spans and commercial breaks, so the dead air is baked in. Now I've gotten through 11 episodes of a show I gave up on twice. Has anyone else messed with playback speed on these, or does it wreck the vibe for you?
