One side of me says a temp controlled iron at that price paid for itself after two ribbon cable jobs on a Canon 5D board. The other side says a $40 pencil iron did the same joints for ten years and I just wanted a fancy station. The tip selection alone is tempting me to redo every ground pad I've been avoiding. What's your cutoff for gear before it becomes a toy instead of a tool?
