PSA: found out coax has 75 ohm impedance and that number fixed my snow problem on a 200 ft bury
Was fighting ghosting on a long RG6 run out in Sparks and a tech at the supply house dropped that fact on me, swapped to a proper quad shield and it cleared right up. Anybody else keep a little impedance chart taped inside their lid, or is it just me?
That impedance chart tip is solid, and it goes further than just matching the cable. Every connector, barrel, and splitter in that 200 ft run adds its own mismatch, so one cheap 50 ohm F fitting in the middle can undo a good quad shield.
