My backwards method: pulling cable before any boxes go up

It seems wrong, but it keeps me from having to move boxes later.

Honestly following Jordan's logic, we'd all paint cars before the chassis gets welded. Some of us just enjoy the chaos of a finished ethernet cable snaking across bare studs. It looks wrong, feels wrong, but if it saves me from patching drywall later because I forgot a line, I'll be the clown wiring the chandelier before the ceiling goes up. Weird methods that work are still weird, but they work.

That's like building the roof before the walls.

Sure, that sounds backwards (like putting your socks on after your shoes). But hey, if it saves work later, it's not stupid.
