TIL a simple cabinet scribe can turn into a 4-hour nightmare
The wall in this old Denver bungalow was so out of plumb my pencil line just vanished, and I had to freehand the cut with a jigsaw after three failed attempts. Anyone ever have a wall so bad it broke your normal process?

Man, that reminds me of the time I tried to hang a shelf in my last apartment. The wall was so bad the level just laughed at me. Ended up using like a whole pack of shims.

That "out of plumb" wall just means you skipped the step of actually measuring it first.

Tell that to the hundred year old house I'm working on. The whole place is a lesson in creative angles. Sometimes you measure it, know it's wrong, and still have to make it work. That's just real world renovation.
