Stumbled on a trick for flush trimming without tearout
I was fighting with a flush trim bit on some plywood edges and kept getting chipout on the bottom. Tried sticking blue painter's tape along the cut line and it cleaned up perfectly, no splintering at all. Anyone else use tape for this or have another fix?

Taped both sides of my cut and it worked like a charm.

Honestly I was a tape skeptic until I tried it on a bad finger cut last month. @elizabeth220 that's exactly what I did too, even used cheap packing tape and it held way better than any bandage I've tried. The two side thing kept the cut closed without that sticky mess in the wound. Always thought tape was just for paper, but now it's my go to for small cuts.
