I read that the original bullet journal method only uses three core symbols
I was going through the official Bullet Journal website and saw that Ryder Carroll's system is built on just a dot for a task, an X for completed, and a > for migrated. I always thought people were adding all the extra icons and colors from the start. It made me realize I was overcomplicating my own setup. Has anyone else stuck with just the basic symbols and found it works better?

Honestly, using just three symbols can be super clean and effective. It forces you to get creative with what you have, which is a fun challenge. Some of the best logos in the world are crazy simple, so limiting your toolkit isn't always a bad thing. It's more about how you use them than how many you've got.
