Does a fancy $80 journal really beat a $3 composition book for daily tracking?
Three years ago I started with a cheap spiral notebook in Portland, last month I splurged on a leather-bound one with thick paper, and honestly I'm still torn because the expensive one feels special but the cheap one let me doodle and rip pages out without guilt, so which side are you on for function versus feel?

Honestly, the "doodle and rip pages out without guilt" part hit me hard. I got a pricey one last year and I’m still scared to mess it up, so my cheap spiral is still the one doing the real work.
