Vent: my brother in law said paying $40 for a budgeting app is a waste when a free spreadsheet does the same thing
He pulled up his Google Sheet with 14 tabs and a formula that broke twice, and I showed him my app that syncs my accounts in 5 seconds. But he kept saying the $40 a year adds up to a car payment over a decade, and honestly I couldn't argue with that math. So is it worth paying for convenience or should I just go back to the spreadsheet life?
