I finally switched from ground turkey to lentils for tacos

Been using ground turkey for years because it's 'lean and cheap'. But my crew guy showed me his lunch last week - lentil tacos with basic seasoning. 2 bucks for a whole bag of dry lentils. Cooked up a batch for dinner. Same texture, more flavor, and my wallet felt it. Anyone else ditch meat for a cheaper swap and stuck with it?
