Burned a whole pot of rice in my college apartment and now I need cheap dinner ideas that don't need a stove
So last Tuesday I was trying to make rice for the week, got distracted by a phone call, and came back to a pot that was smoking and stuck to the bottom. The whole place smelled like burnt popcorn for two days. My roommate was not happy. I soaked the pot for 3 hours and it still took steel wool to clean. Anyway I'm out $8 on the rice and my stove is now looking sketchy, so I'm trying to figure out meals I can make in a microwave or with just hot water from the kettle for the next couple weeks. I've been doing peanut butter sandwiches and instant noodles but that's already old. What do you guys eat when you can't really cook? I've got about $40 for the rest of the month and a mini fridge.
