My son's Lego habit gave me an idea for organizing bricks on site
I saw my boy sorting his Legos by color and shape. It made me think about how I handle bricks for a job. Now I group them by type and quality before I start laying. This saves a lot of time and reduces waste. My team laughs, but they've started doing it too.

Ever get that sinking feeling when you waste half the morning just looking for the right brick? I've definitely hidden a chipped one in mortar before just to keep moving. Your lego idea cuts right to the heart of that problem.

Your team laughing at first is what got me. On a job site, seconds add up, and fumbling for bricks costs time. Sorting them must prevent using a damaged piece in a plain view area. It likely saves mortar since you stop digging through piles. For your crew to adopt it, they saw a wall go up quicker. That a boy's Lego habit taught seasoned workers is just surprising.

Seeing a team laugh at first then get on board shows the idea works. Seconds fumbling for bricks add up fast, like @bettyperry knows from hiding chipped ones. Sorting stops that waste and keeps damaged pieces out of plain sight. Walls go up quicker when every brick is ready to grab. It's no surprise the crew adopted it once they saw the time saved.
