The cat skull I painted in 3 months vs the first one I did in 2022
I started doing tiny animal skeleton paintings over the summer, and my first cat skull took about 40 hours and looked like a melted crayon. A few weeks ago I finished another one using a 000 brush and a magnifying lamp from Hobby Lobby, and the difference is wild. I think the big change was learning to layer washes instead of trying to get it right in one pass, plus I stopped painting at 1am. Has anyone else seen a huge jump in their work after changing one simple habit like that?
