Paper marbling class sounded silly, 3 sheets in and I'm hooked

Signed up for a 2 hour paper marbling workshop in Portland last Saturday with zero expectations. Thought it was just for kids or scrapbook people. First sheet came out a muddy mess, but the second one with comb patterns looked like a galaxy. That moment when the paint floats on the bath and you drag a stylus through it, total focus. Anyone else tried a craft they figured was boring and got sucked in fast?
