My monstera was dying until I tried a stupid simple fix
I kept losing leaves on my monstera in my Denver apartment. I tried a humidifier, repotting, even a grow light for 3 weeks. Then a friend said just put it in the bathroom while I shower. Now I have 8 new leaves in 2 months. Anyone else found a weird spot that works better than gear?

Your monstera was probably drying out from the dry Denver air way more than you think. The bathroom trick works because the humidity spikes but also because the steam actually warms the leaves a bit, not just the air. A grow light is good but you can't fake real moisture that way. I have a Boston fern that sits right on top of my fridge now and it went from crispy to giant after I moved it there. The fridge gives off heat and the kitchen has a little steam from cooking. Sometimes the weirdest spots beat all the fancy gear.

The monstera I kept on top of my bookshelf in Phoenix did the same thing until I moved it to the bathroom. @parker_jones50 nailed it with the fridge thing too. My pothos was turning yellow by a south window but now it lives on the corner of my microwave cart where the steam hits it when I cook rice. Had to train it to wrap around a chopstick for support but it started pumping out leaves after a month. Sometimes the dumbest spots really do beat all the gadgets.
