Spotted a shift to recycled covers, so I tweaked my adhesion method

More clients ask for eco-friendly books lately. I found that mixing a bit of wheat paste with my usual glue helps with recycled paper. It stops the covers from peeling over time. Been using this for months now with great results. This tweak really improves how long the books last.

Understand where you're coming from, but this really isn't a gimmick. That bit of wheat paste adds starch that soaks into the recycled fibers, which locks the glue in place way better. It's a practical fix for a real problem, making those eco-friendly covers actually stay on.

Finally, a bookbinding tip you can taste test?

Okay but seriously though, is it that big of a deal? I get it’s a fun idea but it’s just glue. Nobody is actually going to eat it. People are acting like this changes everything but it’s just a weird gimmick. It feels like we’re making a huge deal out of nothing. Let’s just bind books and save the snacks for actual food.
