Shoutout to my cat for the most chaotic book press I've ever seen
Honestly, left a half-bound copy of 'Moby Dick' under a light weight overnight. Came back to find my cat had knocked it off and slept on it, and the spine had this perfectly smooth, weirdly rounded curve. Anyone had an animal 'help' with a bind in a way that actually kinda worked?

Remember my friend trying to press a small poetry book with a stack of cookbooks. Her dog got excited, knocked the whole pile over, and the pages scattered. She gave up, left it a mess overnight. Next morning the dog was asleep right on top of the loose pages, and the weight of him lying there actually settled everything flat enough to glue. It was a total accident but it fixed her problem.

Love when dogs accidentally help out.

Ever try using a warm iron on low heat? Just press it over a towel on top of the pages for a few seconds, it relaxes the paper fibers. Makes everything lie flat for gluing way easier.
