TIL I read 47 books in one year without realizing it
I was cleaning out my nightstand last month and found a notebook. I started tallying every book I finished in 2023. Turns out I hit 47. I thought I was maybe at 25. My book club thought I was bragging but I just laughed. Anyone else ever surprised by their own reading count?

...and here I thought I was doing okay tracking my reading on Goodreads but apparently I missed a bunch of audiobooks I listened to during my commute. I counted them up after seeing this post and I'm at 32 for last year but I honestly thought it was closer to 15 or 16. The thing is I listen to those while driving and they just blur together with podcasts and music. So I wouldn't take my count too seriously, your mileage may vary on what counts as "reading" anyway.

Wait, 47 books without even realizing it? That's wild... I barely remember what I read last week half the time. Must be nice to have a habit that automatic. Maybe you're just one of those people who reads like other people breathe. Don't know anyone else who could lose track of that many finished stories. Kinda jealous actually.
