Our book club nearly fell apart over a dictionary debate last week

We were discussing 'The Great Gatsby' and someone pointed out that the word 'orgastic' on the last page isn't even a real word. That turned into a 30 minute fight about whether we should read the version with corrected spelling or stick with the original. Half the group wanted to vote on it, the other half said that defeats the purpose. Has anyone else had a book club argument over something this silly?

Wait, what side were you on in the argument?

Honestly @morgan915, I was on the other side, but now I'm thinking the complete opposite. Sometimes playing devil's advocate helps you see the flaws in your own argument faster.
