Found a way to mark tube sheets that actually stays put after 50 washes

I was sick of hash marks washing off after a few cleaning cycles on our power plant condenser tubes. Tried a carbide scribe on a scrap piece and it still faded. Has anyone used a metal stamp set for permanent ID numbers on their tube sheets?

Have you tried a pneumatic engraver with a carbide tip? That's what we use on our boiler tube sheets and it holds up way better than scribes or stamps.

Tried stamping once and the numbers just overlapped into a mess.
