My take: Solo board games give me more joy than game nights with friends
I know most folks love the chatter and laughs during group sessions, but I find solo play lets me focus on the game itself. Last week, I tried a tough campaign alone and worked through puzzles without rush. It felt better than any game night I've had. Do others here like playing by themselves, or am I missing out on the fun with friends?

What specific part of focusing on the game without the chatter is the most satisfying part for you?

Used to think chatter added to the experience. Turning it off let me actually pay attention to the game mechanics. Now I just enjoy the pure focus without any noise.

Wait you turned off all the chatter completely? @rowanh96 that seems so extreme to me. I need that background noise to feel like the game world is alive. Playing in total silence would just feel empty and weird.
