I was organizing my game shelves by player count for years until a friend pointed out the obvious flaw
He asked 'where's your 2-player game for tonight?' and I realized I'd hidden them all behind the big box games. Anyone else have a better system for storing games you actually play often?

Why bother organizing them at all? Just throw everything on the shelf and dig for what you want. The hunt is part of the fun and you never know what you'll find.

Yeah, that's how I ended up with a junk drawer that ate three pens, a receipt from 2019, and my last good tape measure. The 'fun find' was a petrified orange slice. My system now is just organized chaos so I only lose half my stuff.

That's a great plan if you enjoy wasting half your weekend looking for a screwdriver. The thrill of the hunt wears off when you're late because you can't find your keys. Some of us like to actually find things.
