Why I finally gave coal another chance for small projects
I always thought coal forges were too messy for detailed work. My gas setup seemed cleaner and faster. Then I forged a set of intricate hooks for a kitchen rack. The gas flame was too harsh, and I kept warping the metal. A friend suggested I try my backup coal forge. The softer heat let me control the bend perfectly. Now I see coal's value for precision shaping. It's become my go-to for anything with fine curves.

Softer heat... gas lets me fine-tune without the mess.
