Walking past the new art gallery, I realized it used to be the town forge.

Seeing kids admire metal sculptures there now makes me miss the real hammer and tongs work.

Mike's dad used to shoe horses where that gallery stands.

But that gallery is better for the town now.

Sure, but I doubt the horses miss the art. They probably just miss the free oats. Progress isn't always a two-way street.
