Vent: I looked up how many people finished The Wire and it's way lower than I thought
So I was poking around a TV ratings site last night (the one with all the old Nielsen numbers) and I found out only about 1 million people watched the final episode of The Wire when it aired back in 2008. Meanwhile 12 million were watching some reality show on the same night. Honestly it shook me a little because I've been nagging my brother in Dayton to start it for two months now. Do you all push through slow first seasons or just tell people to skip ahead?
Wait, only a million people? That means like 11 million folks were watching someone eat bugs or whatever instead of Stringer Bell. Do you really wanna be the guy begging his brother to join the smallest club in America? Just tell him season 2 is the price of admission and move on.
