Found out that Severance cost around $20 million per episode and I had to look it up three times to believe it

Saw the budget breakdown on a production blog last night and it made me think about all those empty hallways and weird office props - guess that stuff isn't cheap to build from scratch, anyone else shocked by what streaming shows actually cost to make?

Holy crap, $20 million an episode?! That's insane. It kinda makes you think about how much stuff we just take for granted in our daily lives too, you know? Like, I bet the cost of building a single fake office cubicle in that show is more than my entire apartment's rent for a year. It's wild how the price of everything behind the scenes is completely invisible to us until someone actually shows you the numbers. I guess that's just how things work now, whether it's streaming shows or a carton of eggs. The real cost of making something is almost always way higher than what we see on the surface.

Does that mean my $6 carton of eggs secretly cost $12 million to produce?
