Binged The Wire in 3 days and realized I'd been skipping the best scenes for 15 years

I always fast-forwarded through the courtroom stuff because I thought it was boring filler. Then I actually paid attention last weekend and realized those scenes are where half the story happens.

Ha! My buddy Mike skipped all the court scenes for years too, @rosep87, then rewatched and felt like an idiot.

lol i feel this hard. i used to think the police stuff was where all the action was and would zone out during the courtroom parts too. but then i rewatched the show during lockdown and realized how much i missed, like the whole stringer bell/Bunny Colvin conversation about the drug trade and the war on drugs. now i cant believe i skipped any of it, its basically the heart of the show.
