Tried to replace a bathroom faucet and the shutoff valve snapped in my hand, flooding the place
Honestly I thought this would be a quick 30 minute job on a Saturday morning but the old valve just crumbled and water started spraying everywhere. I ended up shut off at the street for 4 hours while my neighbor helped me cut and cap it, cost me $87 in parts and a whole afternoon. Has anyone else dealt with a valve that just disintegrates when you touch it?
