Showerthought: I used a pool noodle to stop my table saw from tripping the breaker and it actually worked
Last Saturday I was ripping 2x4s in my garage in Boise and kept tripping the 15 amp breaker every 3 or 4 cuts, which killed my whole afternoon. I read somewhere that wrapping a pool noodle around the cord near the plug stops it from wiggling loose and causing a short, and after trying it my saw ran clean for 20 straight cuts. Has anyone else done this or did I just get lucky with a loose outlet?
