PSA: that $18 stud finder from the hardware store saved me from putting 6 holes in a pipe
I was about to hang a heavy shelf in my garage in Reno and the cheap one my neighbor lent me kept beeping on empty drywall, so I grabbed an $18 one with a deep scan mode and it flagged a water line right where I was about to drill, and has anyone else had a cheap tool almost cost them way more than the good one?
