My uncle's advice about caulk gun angles finally clicked after 3 garages
He told me to cut the tip at a 45 and pull instead of push, but I thought he was just old school. After my third garage door frame looked like a toothpaste explosion, I tried his way and it took half the time. Anyone else ignore a relative's tip for years before realizing they were right?
Took me two garages and a ladder incident where I nearly painted the neighbor's cat before I gave in and tried my dad's angle trick. Now I feel like I owe him an apology every time I open the caulk tube. Some lessons just have to be learned through a sticky mess, I guess.
